FIRST THEY CHEATED HER OUT OF THE PRESIDENCY, NOW THEIR CHEATING HER OUT OF SECRETARY OF STATE

A brief filed with the U.S. Supreme Court by Judicial Watch, which investigates and prosecutes government corruption, questions whether members of the "political branches of the government" can "evade the clear and precise language of a provision of the Constitution through the use of a legislative 'fix.'"

The dispute is over former Sen. Hillary Clinton's eligibility to be secretary of state.

The U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 6, clause 2, provides: "No senator or representative shall, during the time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil office under the authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the emoluments whereof shall have been [increased] during such time."

The case brought on behalf of a career government employee outlines how during Clinton's tenure in the U.S. Senate, the salary for the secretary of state was raised to $186,600, then to $191,300, and then again to $196,700.

The complaint challenges whether a resolution adopted by Congress as Clinton was preparing for the position that rolled back the compensation to the level of Jan. 1, 2007, could remove the obstacle to Clinton's appointment.

  1. What this boiles down to is Republicans and Democrats alike are starting to fear Hillary's power - she has proven to the nation and to the world what A EXCELLENT LEADER she is - so anything that Washington can do to disrupt her - to silence her - they are doing! Let them keep trying because despite what the Supreme Court rules - WE WILL STILL BE RIGHT HERE WAITING FOR HER! Furthermore what is $200,000 a year to Hillary? She's hardly in it for the money!

  2. They will do anything and everything to bring her down, cause they know she is doing a great job as SOS and is getting a huge support that could make her win the whitehouse. These people just don't realize that Hillary is the one that America needs. Yes, we will be here for her whatever happens, she is our girl!!! - Maria in NJ

  4. She's traveled more than any S.O.S. in recent memory. I think in the first three months it was more than any S.O.S. in history. For god's sakes she is worth WAY more money than that. And who are the SCUM bringing this harmful action to the country and against her? If they win this case maybe she should just run for POTUS in 2012!! She's so far the BEST S.O.S. we've had in YEARS and they want to hurt the country by doing this??? Shameful!!

  6. Hillary has done an outstanding job as Secretary of State and will continue to do so. The Democratic party needs to be held reponsible for their actions, it is not Hillary doing of where this country is going. We need a strong leader who has experience, Hillary just proves daily that she is more than capable of running this country and to bring respect back to the office. God bless America and God bless you Hillary for all you do for this country.
